Yoga Retreat - Saba

Namaste everyone.

I am very excited to go on Ashoga’s Yoga & Meditation Day retreat to Starved Rock State Park. It will be a perfect day of spending time in nature to heal the body, mind, heart, and spirit. It is only in the lap of mother nature, can we find our wild true heart. Let’s  take this journey to connect with our wild heart and spend a day with our true self. This will be a  day filled with yoga, hiking, meditation, journaling and self-reflection to help us tap into that wild true heart.

Starved Rock State Park, about an hour away from Naperville,  is a world apart from anything else in Illinois. You’ll know it the moment you enter, as you wind your car through the towering trees on one side and beautiful, majestic Illinois river on the other. Amazing seasonal waterfalls are active in the spring and after heavy rains. There are many miles of trails, canyons and waterfalls to explore and the Illinois River offers extraordinary views and great places to relax and see the full moon.

Parking

Due to COVID-19, Starved Rock State Park’s parking lots have been filling up quite fast every weekend. Please make sure to arrive in time to get a spot. There are overflow parking spots but they are further away and will add more time to our itinerary. Knowing that these factors are not in our control, let’s aim to be there on time.

Carpool Options

We encourage you to carpool with other participants. All members in the car can wear masks to protect each other. If you do not feel comfortable car-pooling, we understand. With prior permission to release information,  a list of participants with their location and phone numbers will be released to help you coordinate. You can always reach out to me if you have questions about car-pooling or want my help to connect you with people from in and around your area.

We do ask that those carpooling together be mindful of the driver’s kindness and offer to assist with gas if necessary. The driver may decline any offer, however we want to begin the journey with promoting a mutual energetic exchange among participants.
