Asana is posture and Dhyana is meditation in Sanskrit, 2 of the 8 limbs of Yoga. This is a unique opportunity for us all to dive deeper in to the yoga practice so that we can take the time to explore all the various aspects of the postures. We will learn the physical and the energetic benefits of each posture and learn how and when to use these postures to aid our personal yoga practice.
We will learn to incorporate different Mudras and affirmations with the postures to make this a powerful moving meditation. The postures will be tied together with a visualization meditation at the end of the posture/asana practice.
There will be a discussion after the class to dive deeper into the philosophy of why we did what we did and how can we incorporate what we learned in our day to day life.
